Euryops pectinatus ‘Silver Star’ Description

Euryops pectinatus ‘Silver Star’ is a compact evergreen or semi-evergreen shrub with finely divided grey-green leaves edged in creamy white. Cheerful yellow daisy-shaped flowers are carried above the foliage from late spring through summer and may continue well into autumn under mild conditions. Plants generally reach around 60cm to 1 metre and make attractive specimens for sunny patio pots, conservatories and sheltered coastal borders. Grow in full sun in fertile compost or soil that drains freely. Regular deadheading and feeding encourage a longer flowering season. It is not reliably hardy across Ireland, particularly in cold inland gardens, and is best overwintered in a bright frost-free greenhouse or conservatory. Water sparingly during winter and trim lightly in spring to maintain a compact, well-branched shape.
