Euonymus fortunei ‘Interbolwi’, commonly sold as Blondy, is a compact evergreen shrub with small leaves marked by broad bright yellow centres and narrow, irregular dark green margins. Its low, dense habit brings permanent colour to border edges, rock gardens, courtyard planting and mixed containers. It can also spread gradually as ground cover or climb slightly when planted against a suitable surface. Grow in full sun or partial shade in most fertile, moist but well-drained soils. Good light strengthens the golden colouring, while some shelter reduces winter scorch in exposed Irish gardens. It tolerates coastal conditions and urban pollution once established. Trim lightly during spring or summer to maintain a neat shape. All parts are harmful if eaten.
