Diascia ‘Apple Blossom’ Description

Diascia ‘Apple Blossom’, also listed as Diascia ‘Appleby Appleblossom’, forms a low semi-evergreen mound of small oval leaves and slender branching stems. Numerous two-spurred flowers open in soft pink shades, often with darker colouring near their centres, from early summer into autumn. Growing around 15 to 30cm high, it can spread or trail attractively over the edges of containers, walls and raised beds. Grow in full sun or light shade in fertile soil or compost that remains moist but drains freely. Water and feed regularly during flowering and trim back tired stems to encourage fresh growth. It is only borderline hardy in Ireland and may be lost in severe frost or persistently wet winter ground.
