Dahlia ‘Temptation Yellow’ develops into a compact, well-branched plant with glossy bronze to dark purple foliage. Large yellow decorative flowers are carried clearly above the leaves and continue opening throughout summer when the plant is regularly fed and deadheaded. Its relatively low, upright growth suits patio pots, seasonal bedding and the front of sunny borders. Plant in full sun in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil or compost. Water during dry periods, taking care not to leave the tuber in saturated ground. This dahlia cannot reliably survive Irish winter frost and wet. Lift and dry the tubers after the foliage is blackened by cold, or move container-grown plants into protected frost-free storage.
