Campanula carpatica ‘Zenn White’ is a compact bellflower forming a low mound of small green leaves. Numerous white, outward-facing bell-shaped flowers appear during summer, creating a clean display near paths, across rockeries and along the edges of raised beds. Its restrained growth also suits troughs and mixed patio containers. Grow in full sun or partial shade in moderately fertile soil that retains some moisture during active growth but drains well through winter. Regular deadheading can encourage further flowers and keeps the plant tidy. It is hardy in Ireland, although heavy, waterlogged ground should be avoided. Cut back faded stems after flowering and protect the fresh spring shoots from slugs and snails.
