Begonia ‘Jewel F1 Pink’ Description

Begonia ‘Jewel F1 Pink’ is a compact wax begonia with attractive green foliage and relatively large single pink flowers. It develops a neat, upright mound around 15 to 20cm high and flowers continuously from late spring until autumn. Use it for edging beds, filling patio containers or creating blocks of dependable summer colour. Plant outdoors only after frost risk has passed, choosing sun or partial shade and fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Water during dry weather, especially in pots, but avoid waterlogged compost around the fibrous roots. It is frost tender and usually treated as an annual in Ireland. Regular feeding helps maintain flowering, although little deadheading is normally required.
