Acer palmatum ‘Fireglow’ is a large, bushy, deciduous shrub reaching 4m tall and wide. Its lobed leaves open pink-red in spring, deepen to dark green flushed with red in summer, and finish with purple-red tones in autumn. Small purple flowers in April and May are followed by red fruits. Low maintenance and colourful, it provides year-round interest in Irish planting schemes.
