Acer palmatum ‘Burgundy Lace’ is a medium-sized deciduous shrub, spreading up to 4m tall and wide. Its light red-purple foliage in spring deepens as the season progresses, with each leaf finely divided into seven narrow, toothed lobes. Flowering in April and May, it has been recognised with the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Low maintenance and colourful, it thrives in sheltered Irish gardens.
